Privacy & Policy
Last updated:
1. Introduction
JV-IT Techs provides AI-powered features including translation, content summarization, and contextual chat to enhance productivity. This policy explains how we handle data, protect privacy, and define responsibilities of involved parties.
2. Data We Process
- User-provided content (text, uploaded documents) to perform translation, summarization, and context retrieval.
- Basic account information (email, display name, preferred language) for authentication and personalization.
- Technical activity logs (request time, status, errors) for security and diagnostics.
We do not sell personal data. Processing follows the data minimization principle to deliver the service.
3. Purposes of Processing
- Provide AI features (translation, summarization, contextual chat).
- Improve accuracy and user experience (e.g., remembering language preferences).
- Ensure system safety, monitor performance, and resolve incidents.
4. Storage & Security
- Data is stored in our databases (PostgreSQL) and caches (Redis) as needed for operations.
- User documents may be stored in S3-compatible storage (e.g., Cloudflare R2).
- JWT authentication is enforced for APIs with project/user-based access controls.
- Passwords are hashed with bcrypt; plain-text passwords are not stored.
5. Third-party Sharing
To provide AI capabilities, the system may call AI providers (e.g., OpenAI, Google Vertex AI) with the minimal content required to fulfill requests. Usage complies with the providers’ terms.
6. User Rights
- Request access to and correction of account information.
- Request deletion of documents uploaded by the requester (subject to project retention policies).
- Request processing restrictions where applicable under current law.
7. Logs & Retention
System logs may be retained for a reasonable period for security, incident analysis, and service improvements. Retention duration may change according to operational needs.
8. Cookies & Browser
The browser or browser extension may use local storage/Chrome storage to keep settings, short-lived session tokens, or display preferences to enhance user experience.
9. Contact
For questions, please contact your system administrator or project owner. Contact details may be provided in your organization’s internal documentation.
